The ferryman has been paid! - Der Fährmann ist bezahlt!

Good morning everyone!
Now its official ... the ferryman is paid, I'll leave this fair island on Sep. 20 2005 8.30am with Stenaline from Dublin Port. I'll set foot on solid ground again in our neighbouring celtic land of Cymru ... 3.15h later. Then I'll be crossing Sasana - the land of the Saxons and Angles ;) just to cross the channel and drive to Hof through France, Belgium, Luxembourg and Germany.

Haven't decided yet if I'll take the Eurotunnel-train or a ferry between Dover/Folkstone and Calais ... better make up my mind soon. Guess I'll take a boat ... love the sea. Anyone tried the Eurotunnel yet? Is it worth it?

Nun ist es offiziell ... der Fährmann ist bezahlt, ich werde diese schöne Insel am 20. September 2005 8.30h mit der Stenaline Fähre von Dublin Port aus verlassen. Festen Boden werde ich erst wieder im keltischen Nachbarland Wales unter meinen Füssen haben, 3h15 später. Danach geht's durch das Land der Sachsen und Angeln, um wenig später den Kanal zu über/unter-queren und durch Frankreich, Belgien, Luxemburg und Deutschland zurück nach Hof zu fahren.

Hab' mich noch nicht entschieden, ob ich den Eurotunnel oder eine Fähre benutzen werde. Muss mich aber bald entscheiden. Ich schätze, ich werde die Fähre nehmen, ich liebe das Meer. Hat jemand schonmal den Eurotunnel benutzt? Ist es erfahrenswert?
